Welcome to 6th Grade!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year! With 4 years of prior teaching experience in the Centralia School District, I am committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment. I follow the CSD 6th grade Behavior Matrix, which provides consistency of expectations for all students here at Jefferson Lincoln as they transition into middle school. I am eager to get to know each student and work together to make their transition as smooth and enriching as possible.

I am committed to providing a curriculum that is both challenging and tailored to the individual needs of each student. In my classroom, students are provided ample time and opportunities to complete classwork during school hours. However, if students do not spend their time wisely and are unable to complete their work during the time allotted, it should be completed at home and returned to school the following day. Students will also be expected to complete and log twenty minutes of reading each night, as well as some weekly homework tasks that will go home in their Thursday Folders each week.
